Howdy, I'M Nick
About Me:
Howdy, I am Nicholas G. Gulde, a Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineer graduating from Texas A&M University. My love for automotive engineering, manufacturing, and leadership has propelled me through my education and ignited my desire to pursue a career in research and development, design, and testing. My interests have influenced many projects I have been a part of in personal, educational, and professional environments. Through my time at Texas A&M University, I have grown to more fully embrace the opportunities and hard work that my college experience has given to me and persevere to go above and beyond in my career aspirations.
Outside of the classroom, I have a passion for pushing my perceived limits through outdoor recreation, athletic pursuit, and personal development. I have always maintained a job from the time I was able to work and have thoroughly enjoyed the learning experiences that have presented themselves to me through working.
You can find more specific details about my work experience, projects, education and passions on other pages of my website. Thank you for visiting.

Education
My engineering degree from Texas A&M University is similar to a typical mechanical engineering degree. I have taken courses in statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and more. The program is ABET accredited and in combination with passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam I will receive my Engineer in Training certification upon conferral of my degree. Where it differs from a common mechanical engineering degree is that I also have received education in several different manufacturing methods, manufacturing automation, robotics, non-destructive testing, project management, and more.
Future Goals
I have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering and will be an E.I.T. upon my degree conferral. Following this I hope to pursue my Professional Engineering license with the goal of sitting for the P.E. Exam in the next year. Additionally, I aim to complete a master’s program in engineering in order to accelerate the P.E. licensing process. Through all of this, I will strive to advance my career with an engineering design role where my goal is to provide, contribute to, and help develop novel solutions to complex problems.
What Drives Me?
My personal philosophy is that life is precious, short, a gift, and a wonderful opportunity to make the world a better place. I hope to become a better person than I was the day before and be grateful for each opportunity I am given as they present themselves. While I am far from perfect, I hope to persevere through challenges with humility, an open mind, and a willingness to learn and absorb information. Whether I am just beginning to approach a new pursuit, or I am 27 miles into a 31-mile race, my goal is to take each moment one step at a time and continue to push forward regardless of any obstacle, so that I may learn all that the world has to offer.
